Stepping back from the canvas: WEFT Website

  1. What were our objectives? (look back to summer meetings and survey results)
  2. What objectives were met? What objectives were not met?
  3. What do we need to do to meet those objectives that were not met?
  4. General feedback, comments on existing/desired functionalities.

Webgroup Projects

  1. Small:
    1. Make it easier to change programming schedule;
    2. Graphic output for wiki schedule (?);
    3. Training sessions for website users;
    4. Make sure all weft publicity and training materials reflect the URL change;
    5. Grow the wiki and the knowledge database;
    6. Playlist posting/managing? (or is this a "large" project?)
  2. Large:
    1. better online donating for spring (t-shirt sizes, premium selection),
    2. webcasting,
    3. anything else?

Website Policy

  1. Blog aggregator (see weftweb archives for discussion from this month: http://lists.weft.org/pipermail/weftweb-weft.org/)
  2. Subdomains - who gets them? Currently those who already used weft.org.

Webgroup Governance

  1. Review/get feedback on Website Workgroup SOP
  2. Set schedule for creating membership list, conducting elections, etc.
  3. Proposals for regular meeting dates?

Funding

  1. Do we have any projects that are very work/expertise intensive?
  2. If so, discuss:
    1. time investment
    2. expertise needed
    3. compensation
    4. funding sources
