Courier shows
From WEFT Wiki
WEFT receives some of its programming, for example, Democracy Now and Free Speech Radio News, from outside sources. These programs need to be made available to Courier hosts in a timely fashion.

Democracy Now
DN can be recorded from the satellite feed (see below) or downloaded from their website
From the satellite
When do you need to start and stop the recording?
From the website
- Go to the website: http://www.democracynow.org/
- On that page is today's show in the middle of the page (don't confuse the "Headlines" link with the full show).
- Right-click the MP3 link under the information about today's show and download the file ("Save link as..."). This will put it on the Desktop of the computer at the station.
- Follow the instructions for burning a CD with iTunes (or use Windows Media Player, if you prefer).
Free Speech Radio News
From the satellite
When do you need to start and stop the recording?
From the website
FSRN is usually not available until after the Courier starts at 4pm, so you will need to download and burn the disk after DN starts.
- Go to the website: http://www.fsrn.org/
- Find today's newscast (not just the headlines). It should be about a half an hour long.
- Right-click Download audio file and save the mp3 to the desktop.
- Follow the instructions for burning a CD with iTunes (or use Windows Media Player, if you prefer).
Recording satellite feeds
Shows can be recorded to MiniDisc from the satellite demodulator.
These instructions need to be revised by someone who knows better!
- Locate the MiniDisc for the show you want to record; it should be labeled appropriately.
- Insert the disc into the MiniDisc unit in the rack outside the front studio.
- Make sure the satellite demodulator is patched into the MiniDisc unit.
- Press record.
