Mailing List Policy

All email lists at WEFT Radio are owned by Prairie Air, Inc. for the express purpose of communication amongst station volunteers and staff, on behalf of station committees, working groups, and management, to support station work and operations. The policies below apply to all lists unless exemption has been explicitly granted.
These lists are for use solely by active volunteers as identified by the respective committee or committee chair, or by those duly elected or appointed to committees or working groups in accordance with station policy, operating procedures, and bylaws.
Each committee list is administered by the respective committee chair, unless another administrator has been empowered by the committee. Other lists are maintained by administrators appointed by station management. List administrators have the responsibility and ability to approve subscriptions, unsubscribe persons, and moderate list postings according to the policies and procedures of the responsible committee or group and those of Prairie Air, Inc.
Committees, working groups, and staff have the right to limit list membership and subscription to volunteers who are currently active in the committee, group, or initiative that sponsors a given list, as determined by that committee, group, or responsible staff person.
These lists are not intended to be public lists, and subscription is to be limited to current, active volunteers of Prairie Air, Inc. Committees and staff may create lists that are open to persons who are not active volunteers provided that they are actively administrated according to explicit rules and guidelines for conduct (netiquette).
Prairie Air, Inc. and its management reserve the right to moderate list postings, create or delete lists, or unsubscribe persons from all email lists owned by the corporation in order to protect the interests and welfare of the corporation, its staff and volunteers.
Unless otherwise stated in the policies and bylaws of Prairie Air, Inc, this policy bestows upon no person the right to be subscribed to or use an email list owned by Prairie Air, Inc.
Subscription to and use of email lists owned by Prairie Air, Inc. indicates understanding and agreement to these terms.
Questions about this policy should be directed to the Station Manager. Technical issues should be reported to the WEFT List Administrator.
